Electrostatic Precipitators: Dry & Wet
Ducon supplies Dry & Wet Electrostatic Precipitators for new applications, upgrade of existing installations and replacement parts. Ducon has operating installations at boilers of sizes up to 600 MW capacity. In many cases, Wet Precipitators are being used in coal fired power plants to control acid mist emissions after a WFGD.

Wet Electrostatic Precipitator
Ducon Wet Electrostatic Precipitator (WESP) are available in both horizontal & vertical configuration and are designed to achieve zero opacity and over 99.9% removal efficiency on particles down to 0.01 micron in size (<0.5 mg/Nm3)with 0.5 w.c. pressure drop. Ducon also provides special condensing type of Wet ESP's for control of acid fumes & metal oxides from boilers burning Petcoke and other hazardous fuel. Ducon's design is non-clogging due to wide spaced electrodes.
Dry Electrostatic Precipitator
Ducon's Dry Electrostatic Precipitator (DESP) incorporate the latest advances in the microprocessor design technology and digital controls for enhanced performance and improved reliability. Ducon units have the following unique features:
Complete automatic energization systems including optimization of conduction angle thru variable inductance and high transformer impedance.
Heavy-duty rigid discharge electrodes design without any concentration of mechanical stress to insure long service. Back corona detection and prevention for better performance with high resistivity particulate.
Rapper system is reciprocating type which is microprocessor based that allows intensity adjustment.
